The prayer that helps me be my best self

The prayer of Saint Francis guides and helps me be a better person and give the very best in me.  It has helped me in moments of great need, especially when I do not know what to do.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;

Where there is hatred, let me sow love;

Where there is injury, pardon;

Where there is discord, harmony;

Where there is error, truth;

Where there is doubt, faith;

Where there is despair, hope;

Where there is darkness, light;

And where there is sadness, joy.

Grant that I may not so much seek

To be consoled as to console;

To be understood as to understand;

To be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;

It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;

And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Amen.

This prayer also helps me with a practice that I am trying to more and more of each day: Give that which I want.

If I am in feeling sad, I try to make someone else happy.

 If I am feeling a tad lonely, I seek out to give my friendship to someone.

Doing a startup can be financially stressful, but I try to donate something when asked for funds from appropriate causes or individuals.  Doing this gives me a wake-up call of how much I already have, how abundant I actually am.  It centers me and prevents me from going down the road of anxiety.  And most importantly, it activates the economic law of The Universe.  What you put out there is what you get back.  There is no way around this, trust me on this one.  What you give is what you get.  So I invite you to look at every situation and ask yourself what you could give, instead of what you could get.  You will not regret it!

 I hope this article is of service to you.
